MASSAGE
Other then the fact that it feels AMAZING, there are many health benefits to receiving regular massage. Some of these include;
Reduces muscle tension and pain: massage eases trigger points and lengthens the muscles to reduce pain, increase joint mobility, improve posture, encourage healing after injury, eliminate toxins and oxygenate the cells.
Stress reduction: massage encourages the release of endorphins, our ‘feel good’ hormones, and reduces the nasty stress hormones, leaving you feeling calm and relaxed
Immune boosting: as it reduces stress hormones, increases circulation and lymphatic drainage, this all provides a boost to the efficiently of the immune system.
Improved skin tone: the increased circulation through the body reduces tension in the skin and tissues, and promotes cell regeneration. As massage stimulates the production of sebum, it leaves your skin soft, smooth and hydrated.

CUPPING
Cupping is like a massage from the inside out. A flame is used to create a vacuum inside a specially designed glass cup. When placed on the body, the suction draws up the skin, muscle and the underlying tissue.
This vacuum like affect draws up old stagnant blood, toxins, sticky fluids and pathogens to the surface, giving the area space for fresh blood, oxygen, cells and nutrients to flush through, allowing the body to heal quickly. This is how cupping can help decrease pain, lengthen muscles, reduce inflammation and recovery from injury.
Cupping also helps to clam the nervous system, lower blood pressure, calm the mind and promote the free flow of Qi through the body.
Cupping is painless, but often results in bruise-like marks on the skin, which disappear by themselves anywhere from a few hours, up to eight days. Cup mark colours range from a very light pink to a deep purple / almost black.
These marks are part of the healing process, and a sign that the stagnation or disease has been moved from the deeper tissue layers to the surface. The more stagnant blood, lymph, toxins, pathogenic factors and cellular debris there are in the body, the deeper colour the cup marks.
